Our farm is located within ten miles of Port Huron, Michigan. (The town that Thomas Alva Edison grew up in.) Smiths Creek is the town that  T. Edison was thrown off the train and Smiths Creek Depot can now be seen at Greenfield Village.

As a child, it was my dream to own a horse. When I was a teenager, I saw the Disney movie Justin Morgan Had A Horse. I knew that this was the breed that I would someday own. Beauty, strength, speed, willing attitude and versatility. What more could you ask for in a partner?

Our horses have been very versatile; ridden in 4H, road riding, judged trail rides, cowboy action shooting and even a team penning class. On a regular basis, our horses are exposed to gunfire, road traffic, umbrellas, tarps and other scary things that make a horse run off. We use training methods that are associated with  natural horsemanship by making the right way easy and the wrong way difficult for the horse.

We hope you enjoy your visit and please come back soon!
